Metaphysical/Matrix Intersection Investigations 5th yr
Posted: April 8, 2011 Filed under: Uncategorized 1 CommentStudents were ask to revisit their paths from the Paestum workshop by taking 3 intersections from the matrix that they researched, combined with a reinterpretation of their previously designed sun-shading devices. Human perspective was used as the means to redesign the path; the history of the area was employed to ferret out the hidden potential of the current non-places.
Students were also asked to try to capture not just physical (realistic) attributes, but more importantly the metaphysical ones by researching the Italian metaphysical painters, Giorgio De Chirico, Carlo Carrà, & Mario Sironi to find inspiration.
